The Philippine Science High School (PSHS)–Caraga Region Campus was established on 2014 as per mandate of Executive Order No. 1090, which aimed to establish Visayan and Mindanao campuses of the Philippine Science Highschool. The Executive Order itself was approved on February 5, 1986 in accordance to R.A. 3661, or tye PSHS Charter.
The school's mission is to provide scholarships to students with the aptitude for math and science, and give them a humanistic, global, and patriotic education. It aims to contribute greatly in the production of professionals and leaders in Science and Technology. Its motto is "Study well, Behave well."
