Butuan City School of Arts and Trades - Taguibo Annex is located at Purok 9, Brgy. Taguibo Butuan City near in Lumina Homes. As of now, the school has its Main Annex which is located from J Rosales Avenue, Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte. As of today, the school is one of the most developing school of Butuan City with increasing population and a trade school with a large area, free from traffic and pollution.
The Department of Education - Technical Vocational Education, intends to hone students to become functionally literate and holistically developed member of a society and a globally competitive skilled worker. For these reasons, DepEd Butuan City has chosen Butuan City School of Arts and Trades as an implementing institution of Strengthened -Technical Vocational Educational Curriculum - Competency-Based for K12 Program. However, after the TechVoc Performance Audit conducted on November 5-8, 2012, it was found that the school did not meet the basic requirement land area for a vocational school.
The school's division superintendent (S.Y. 2012-2013), Dr Daylinda J. Tampus together with the Butuan City School of Arts and Trades Officer In-charge (October 2012-June 2013), Mr Sergio N. Pioco, requested the Local Government Unit of Butuan City to provide an additional land area for the school to meet the necessary requirement for a technical vocational school.
On October 1, 2013, there were three (3) storey buildings constructed through the DepEd Central Office Fund, the Commercial Building was constructed on December 1, 2013. The school was formally opened on June 2, 2014. Mr Sergio N. Pioco as the School Head designated with three technical vocational Teachers, six academic teachers and one substitute teacher. The school started with a total enrollment of one hundred sixty-four (164) students; one hundred six (106) grade 7 students and fifty-eight (58) grade 8 students. In October 12, 2016, the School Division Superintendent of Butuan City together with Principal IV Rey Collada and division engineer Nichael Madvai visited BCSAT - Taguibo Campus for the ocular inspection of the proposed projects in which 4 unit standard, 4 storey school building with 80 classrooms and I unit standard 3 storey classrooms will be constructed and intended for the stand-alone school which is also for Senior High students. The construction started in December 2016 and completely finished in the year 2019. Despite the construction process, the Senior High School was officially opened as Mrs Elsi Joy B. Leal was temporarily in-charge (2017 - 2019) as the head of BCSAT - Taguibo Campus stand-alone and currently replaced by Mr Valentin S. Catuburan as of now.
